Our Private Singapore Food Tour is a walking tour with public transport included. We begin at Kampong Glam, a vibrant hub of Malay and Islamic culture where you will discover the history of the former port town and different communities that have come to shape the food culture. You'll taste murtabak, teh tarik and Malay kuehs kuehs (traditional pastries).
Our next food stop takes us to Chinatown via the MRT (train). Comprising of 4 sub-districts - Kreta Ayer, Telok Ayer, Bukit Pasoh and Tanjong Pagar, Chinatown is a feast of sights and sounds. On this tour, we will explore Kreta Ayer in the the heart of Chinatown. Your expert guide will maneuver the group through the five-foot ways and conserved shophouses while sharing stories of early immigrants: their challenges, trades, and pastimes, all amidst the rich cultural backdrop of this vibrant neighborhood. Dig into a selection of local favourites - Hainanese chicken rice, oyster cake and popiah, and hear about our street hawker culture and discover why Singaporeans are passionate about eating.
After Chinatown, we'll take the MRT to the nation's oldest estate, Queenstown Singapore located on the city fringe. Known among locals as one of the best food neighbourhoods, you will also be treated to amazing views of the city from the sky garden atop one of Singapore's tallest public housing. Our final food stop of the Private Group Singapore Food Tour takes you to the famous Katong laksa, otah otah (spicy parcel of minced fish wrapped in banana leaves) and old-school snacks. The revered Katong laksa title has been claimed by many purveyors, you will find out what goes into making a hearty bowl of laksa and the story behind the laksa battle in Singapore.

Is the tour suitable for everyone? Any age requirements?
Our friendly guides enjoy meeting visitors from all walks of life – we have hosted solo visitors, couples and families to active seniors, co-workers and even kids! Children 5 years and under can join the Private Singapore Food Tour for free. Simply select the option, “Children 5 years and under” during the booking.
Is the walking tour suitable for all fitness levels?
Our walks have some steps and gentle inclines. Let us know in advance if you have any mobility condition that we should take note of for your safety and comfort.
What should I be aware of regarding the weather and attire?
Light, breathable clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all tours. Singapore enjoys year-round equatorial climate with average temperature ranging between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius. Brief periods of rain and thunderstorm are expected but they usually pass relatively quickly. In the event of inclement weather, we will wait for the skies to clear before resuming the tour. You are advised to bring along a brolly or poncho in case it rains. Our tours run rain or shine.
You’ll be tasting a wide range of foods containing soy, gluten, meat, prawns, dairy, prawns, nuts.
